All’s Well in Sarrat

“I am very happy to inform you that return on investment na po (we got ‘return of investment’ already),” began the text message from Teacher Jennifer Balisacan, the assigned teacher coordinator of Sarrat National High School in Ilocos Norte for the Educator Empowerment Program’s Green Schools Project.

Teacher Jennifer explained that their students won in the Metrobank MTAP-Mathematics Competition in their division. The school was named champion in Grades 7, 9 and 10 and they placed 3rd in Grade 8 in the said Math Olympiad.

The school also placed second over-all at a recent regional Science competition.

In his message to the Educator Team, Teacher Jennifer stated: “You’ve been a part of the academic excellence of our students. Through our training with our teachers, they were able to deliver quality education na po (already). So thank you very much for your partnership with us.”

He added, “We acknowledge you as a contributor to us in the attainment of quality education in our school… May your tribe increase… God bless you!”

As part of its engagement with beneficiary schools like Sarrat National High School, the Educator Empowerment Program (EEP) provides weekly training to all its teachers throughout the year in all key areas of teaching and learning. Through this effort, partner schools are expected to improve educational services in order to become truly empowered institutions of learning.

As a beneficiary school of the Foundation for the Philippine Environment (FPE), Sarrat National High School is a proud partner of the EEP’s Green Schools Project in Ilocos Norte.
