FREQUENCY OF EEP SESSIONS

Majority of respondent have gone more than half way into the regular program before the pandemic struck. Almost 15% said they had already completed the program. More than one third of respondents said they had also undergone training using the New Normal module provided.

95% of respondents said they had EEP sessions at least once a month and 68% said they had sessions more frequently, despite the pandemic. Interestingly, one respondent said their school had more than one EEP session in a week. Majority of the respondents are satisfied with the frequency.

MODULE CONTENT

USEFULNESS

Respondents said that the EEP lessons are very useful in their teaching practice, particularly the more general subject areas of professional and personal development, pedagogy, classroom management, guidance and counseling, family and community involvement, technology in education, school health, values for teachers and teacher welfare are viewed as very useful. 97% of respondents indicated that the material was either useful or very useful. None of the respondents said the content was not useful.

EEP CONTENT UNDERSTANDING

10% of the respondents said the content was very easy to learn. A quarter of respondents indicated that the material was easy to learn while 50% or respondents marked it as neither easy nor hard.

When asked about the memorable EEP lessons for them, some respondents identified specific topics from the lessons. Some respondents said all the lessons were memorable. For one teacher, the most memorable was the reflection section of each lesson. Others said what was memorable for them was how the lessons helped them in their classes.

APPLICATION AND IMPACT

EASE OF APPLICATION

50% responded that applying the lessons were neither easy nor hard. 12% said it was very easy while 15% indicated it was slightly hard. None of them said that applying the lessons was very hard.

STUDENTS’ REACTION TO EEP

The reactions of the students to the changes introduced were mostly positive, although 3% of respondents indicated that students were either annoyed or confused. None of the respondents indicated that their students did not notice the changes in their teaching methods.

STUDENTS’ RESPONSE TO EEP LESSONS APPLIED DURING CLASS

Respondents noted generally positive impact in applying EEP lessons on their students. In particular, students became more participative, found lessons easier to learn, and were more appreciative of the time spent with the teacher.

EEP IMPACT ON STUDENTS’ PERFORMANCE

Some respondents attributed performance improvement on strategies learned in the EEP. While some respondents noted a few negative reactions, none of them indicated any negative influence on student performance because of EEP strategies.

RELATIONSHIP AMONG TEACHERS

Among the faculty, 98% indicated that relationships among teachers either greatly or slightly improved. None of the respondents said the relationships among teachers worsened because of the program.

EEP IMPACT ON TEACHING DURING THE NEW NORMAL

Respondents indicated that the EEP lessons they trained in before the pandemic were helpful during the new normal–98% said they were helped by the lessons to some degree. None of the respondents indicated that using the EEP lessons hampered their teaching under the new normal system.

The EEP lessons that the respondents said helped them in the new normal were mostly about being creative. these were the lessons that showed new strategies in teaching. They also mentioned lessons regarding teachers’ values and giving feedback as the ones the found quite useful. Naturally, technology-related lessons also made the list.

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Overall, respondents saw positive changes in themselves. 100% indicated that they viewed their profession and their role as a teacher as either slightly or much more positive. None of the respondents indicated any negative change in their views.

The same is true of their view about progressive methods of teaching. 100% said they see progressive techniques in a more positive light because of their participation in the EEP.
